About

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
الحمد لله رب العالمين، اللهم صلّ على محمد وعلى آل محمد

I have gone through many iterations and negotiations for choosing a title to this blog. Courtesy to my brother who presented this theme related to 14th century bound legendary Muslim traveler Ibn Battota.

People love journeys to feel life around us. As an old saying {في الحركة بركة} “Prosperity lies in movement”, travel is a means of finding facts and feeling different conditions oneself. For any traveler name of Ibn Battota is a true inspiration.

Travel stories of Ibn Battota are engraved in history with golden scripts. Many books and articles are written about him and his passion. It was really unparalleled efforts with land journeys and sea voyages by which he had passed through almost all territories inhabited by Muslims across three continents. Considering provisions and travel aids of early 14th century, one would astonish the years he spent in traveling amidst unfavorable conditions. It is worth to mention that during his journeys he tried to mingle with societies and wrote travel notes. This helped later generations to understand the living conditions on that era.

Ibn Battota was born in Tangier, Morocco on 24th February 1304 C.E (703 Hijra). He left Tangier on Thursday, 14th June, 1325 C.E. (2nd Rajab 725 A.H.), when he was twenty one years old. After many expeditions lasting 30 years he returned to Fez, Morocco and later died in 1369. The extent of his travels is estimated at no less than 75,000 miles, a figure which is not likely to have been surpassed before that age!

I too love traveling, though not to such a drastic extend. Facts and snaps I have noted in my few journeys are shared here in this blog.

The Change seems to me unfortunate!
Ne3matullah is great title as it kindles hope to be entertained by the Glorious bounty of The Most Merciful God on yourself and on His Earth.
Unlike the current which is misleading, since it gives the notion that ur postings would be on that fabulous explorer leaving the reader in despair.
Anyway, So long as ur pages are exceptionally informative and attractive we are always captivated.
    Thank U.
